Once again we’ve collaborated with tialt to look at the impact of Blue Cabin’s work over the last year, and we’re all very proud to share this year’s impact report.

Thank you to everyone who’s helped us make a positive impact on care-experienced people’s lives!
This year has shown once again the brilliant impact that creativity, care and kindness can have in the lives of care experienced children and young people. From our early years music-making sessions in foster families, to personalised songwriting, to creative programmes in schools and within prison settings, Blue Cabin has continued to create safe spaces where children, young people, carers and professionals can connect, express themselves and build relationships.
Over the past year, hundreds of participants have taken part in our projects, and their reflections capture the heart of what we do: from a young person telling us, “I’ve made friends for life”, to another describing a project week as “my best ever.” These moments of joy, belonging and recognition remind us why this work matters.
We are especially proud that Blue Cabin has been awarded a Bronze ‘Working with Trauma Quality Mark’, an important step in our journey as a trauma-informed organisation, and that we have welcomed Care Experienced Consultants into the heart of our decision-making. These developments ensure our growth continues to be rooted in our values of care, creativity and honesty.
Looking ahead, we remain committed not only to providing enriching creative opportunities, but also to influencing the wider systems that shape the lives of the children and young people we work alongside. With the dedication of our team, the support of our partners and funders, and the voices of young people guiding us, Blue Cabin will continue to thrive and to make a lasting difference.

Reading the Blue Cabin Impact Report has made me appreciate how broad and deep the organisation’s impact is. There’s a consistent thread of creativity running through everything, transforming the lives of young people and the people around them – carers, artists, professionals and others.
It feels genuinely unique and special, and I’m proud to play even a small part in that journey.
