Blue Cabin’s impact report for 2023/24 gives an overview of our work over the last year, and the impact of our programmes on the children and young people, foster carers, social care professionals and others who have taken part.
This year’s report includes input from tialt, who have worked with Blue Cabin to develop a new impact framework to measure and communicate the impact of our work.

As Chair of the Board of Trustees, I am both proud and honoured to present our annual Impact Report for 2023/24.
This year has been a testament to the commitment and hard work of the entire team at Blue Cabin. From our dedicated staff and associates to our invaluable volunteers and partner organisations, every member has contributed to our mission of nurturing meaningful relationships and providing enriching creative experiences for care-experienced children and young people.
Together, we have made fantastic progress in supporting the lives of those we serve, ensuring they have the opportunities to play, create, connect, and experience joy in safe and supportive environments.
We have engaged with hundreds of care-experienced children, young people, their families, and local authority staff, delivering impactful creative and therapeutic activities that have fostered new skills, emotional expression, and stronger relationships.
The positive feedback we have received shows the real difference our work makes, from boosting confidence and resilience to helping participants understand their identities and aspirations. The stories and successes shared within this report are a powerful reminder of why we do what we do and the transformative potential of supporting creativity and relationships.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the future and the new initiatives on the horizon. Our commitment to becoming an accredited Trauma Informed Organisation and our participation in the Going Green Together initiative reflect our strong belief and dedication to continuous improvement and sustainability.
The upcoming pilot projects, expansion of our volunteer programme, and new partnerships with local authorities are just a few examples of how we plan to broaden our impact and reach even more care-experienced individuals.
With the continued support of our funders, partners, and the young people we work alongside, I am confident that Blue Cabin will continue to thrive and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we support. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
