Working with care experienced children and young people - a training course for artists and arts managers

We are working in partnership with the brilliant Treehouse Associates, who share similar values and ethos and are highly experienced and practised pedagogues, to deliver Creative Practice with Care Experienced Children and Young People training - for artists and arts managers.

Feedback from participants who have attended this training:

There was not any point in proceedings where it didn’t feel engaging. I haven’t done a lot of training where it’s kept me glued for the entirety!

The quality of the workshops is excellent. I hope you are able to reach more people like me, who really appreciate the work you do.

As well as creating and producing art I'll be as interested in building ongoing relationships with the young people. Sharing my life experiences (my artistic and creative life) how and why I've got to here.

The training enhanced my understanding of working in this sector and has made me reflect upon previous work. The social / artist pedagogue theories and working methods really do confirm a lot of working methods and thinking.

Training lasts one day and is delivered by Jenny Young (Blue Cabin Director) and Thure Johanssen (Treehouse Associates Director).

If you are interested in booking this training, or talking about it in more depth email . Jenny also describes where the concept of the training comes from, in her blog - We love a Good Framework.
