Working in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland Children in Care Council we are developing a creative resource with care experienced children and young people, which will document their experiences of being in care.
Findings are now available from a study which looked at the impact of lockdown on Children in Care Councils, and how the care-experienced young people who take part have – or don’t have – an influence on decision-making in local authorities. Researcher Dr Clive Diaz shares some of the headline findings from the Compass project.

Two projects, commissioned by South Tyneside Council and funded by the DfE, sought to understand the impact of Covid-19 on Children in Care Councils, and supervised contact (family time).
