Care-experienced children from two residential children’s homes in Northumberland have created two short films.
Over four days this summer, the group worked with Blue Cabin associate artists Alison McGowan and Laura Degnan to explore theatre, puppetry, scriptwriting and film making. At the end of the four days, the group watched their new film together.
The project supported the children and young people to:
Jane Walker, head of Northumberland virtual school, said: “Blue Cabin has an excellent reputation amongst Virtual Schools in the North East and we are excited about working together on an artistic project that will engage children and young people from our residential homes. Their skills will be showcased and their voices will be heard through the film they create at a celebrating achievement event in October.”
