Exploring Artsmark for Virtual Schools

What is Artsmark?

Artsmark is a creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England.

It has a flexible framework, which is designed to help embed arts, culture and creativity across education settings, celebrating commitment to cultural education.
Artsmark is currently open to primary, secondary and special schools, pupil referral units, youth offending teams and sixth form colleges.

Artsmark are interested in whether it would be a beneficial programme for Virtual Schools. Blue Cabin led the creative consultation process with care experienced children and young people in Summer 2022 and this happened in the North East. You can read the full report by reading the digital report below, or accessing this link here.

We’re now working together to explore some of the questions that came from the Creative Consultation, around arts and culture and care experienced children and young people.
