Katie Doherty is an award winning singer, musician, composer and educator based in the North East of England.
Katie is extremely proud to work with incredible North East organisations such as Blue Cabin and Tin Arts, delivering and creating music and song for and with young people across the region.
She is well known for her work with theatre, having written songs and composed scores for November Club, Northern Stage, Open Clasp, Cap-a-Pie and The RSC amongst others.
As a performer Katie has performed alongside Kathryn Tickell, Nitin Sawhney and supported Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Karine Polwart and Ray Davies amongst others.
With her band Katie Doherty and The Navigators, Katie released her second album in 2019 to critical acclaim, airplay all over Europe, and live sessions on BBC Radio 2 and 3. Her third album with the Navigators, FLOW entered the official Folk Album Charts top 30 in August 2022.
