New senior operations lead joins Blue Cabin team

Becky Young has joined Blue Cabin in the new role of senior operations lead.

Becky will be integral to leading and managing our operations, and will support Blue Cabin director, Jenny Young. She has a background in education and the charity sector, and brings skills in strategic leadership, service delivery and cross-sector partnership management to the team.

“I am excited to be joining Blue Cabin as senior operations lead,” said Becky. “I am really looking forward to contributing to the systems and processes that support the incredible work Blue Cabin does. I am committed to building on the strong foundations already in place and working alongside a team that’s passionate about their work.”

Jenny said: “We’re all so happy to welcome Becky to the Blue Cabin team. Becky’s values and ways of working align so strongly with our own values as a charity, and her experience will help us to grow sustainably while continuing to put relationships and care at the centre of everything we do.”

As senior operations lead, Becky will work across all of Blue Cabin’s projects, overseeing the daily running of the organisation and implementing systems that help the charity run smoothly. She will also champion Blue Cabin’s trauma-informed approach, helping to make sure that trauma-informed principles are embedded throughout all of Blue Cabin’s projects.

“Our core values of care, kindness and creativity, and the fact that we centre an awareness of trauma, are so important to us,” added Jenny Young. “With Becky in post, we can strengthen the foundations of our organisation and make sure those values are lived out in every project, partnership and relationship.”
