Dotty Ellis has joined us as Blue Cabin’s administrator, working closely with all our staff, freelancers and volunteers and helping ensure everything we do runs smoothly and efficiently.

“Admin is something I have done in many of my previous roles. But the attraction to the role was the reputation Blue Cabin has as a caring organisation – not only in their creative work with care-experienced individuals and the people in their lives, but in the way they look after their employees.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone involved with Blue Cabin and finding out about the many projects they are involved with. I’m also looking forward to getting stuck into some work that will assist the team.”
“My background is in performance and teaching. I had my own theatre school based in Sunderland for 19 years, working with children aged 6 – 18 in all areas of theatre. I was part of the ensemble of Newcastle based touring theatre company Bruvvers for 10 years. I am a qualified primary school teacher. I’ve worked with adults with learning disabilities at Ouseburn Farm and with the Twisting Ducks Theatre Company and know how important creative practices can be used as a tool to improve people’s lives.”
