The Garfield Weston Foundation, which supports charities across the UK, has once again awarded funding to Blue Cabin to support our work over the next two years.
The £50,000 grant will be used to support Blue Cabin’s core running costs as we continue to use the arts and creativity to create positive change for care experienced children and young people.
“We’d like to thank the Garfield Weston Foundation for committing their support to Blue Cabin for the next two years,” said Jenny Young, Blue Cabin Director.
“Like many of our funders, Garfield Weston have awarded grants to Blue Cabin on multiple occasions and this means so much to us. It provides stability and it shows us that they really see the value in what we do, and the difference we can make to care experienced children and young people in the long term.”
Garfield Weston Foundation is a family founded grant-maker that gives money to support a wide range of charities across the UK. In total it donates around £100 million each year.
The Foundation, which was established in 1958 by Willard Garfield Weston, a Canadian businessman who moved to the UK with his family, works in a straightforward and transparent way and values respect, humility and trust.
Its trustees are all descendants of Willard Garfield Weston and are committed to supporting organisations doing vital work across the UK.
