Volunteering with Blue Cabin

By contributing your time as a volunteer, you can help care experienced babies, children and young people experience the arts – from puppetry, to poetry, to print-making. You can play an active role in helping them to grow in confidence and gain new skills – while also learning something new yourself.

We accept volunteer applications throughout the year and have a variety of roles available. We’d love to hear from you!

What do Blue Cabin volunteers get involved with?

You can volunteer in a variety of ways, such as:

Supporting at events
You might help at creative workshops attended by care experienced children and young people. These are led by Blue Cabin’s team of associate artists, and focus on topics including theatre and performance, music-making, print-making and puppetry. Volunteers help the team to prepare the room, and take part in creative activities alongside staff and participants.

Making creative packs
For example, putting together bags of music-making materials for babies and children.

Administrative support
This might include helping with mailing out our annual impact report, or copies of artists’ books to our funders and supporters.

New roles come up regularly, depending on the projects we are delivering.
