Jenny Young - Executive Director
Jenny has strategically lead the development of Blue Cabin since 2015 and successfully applied to Arts Council England for funding to deliver Blue Cabin’s inaugural project; Head, Heart, Hands Darlington.
Jenny is proud to be from the North East and is passionate about connecting people, communities and organisations to find new ways to build relationships; placing creativity at the centre of this process.
She is excited about working alongside the team to realise the company’s mission.
Jane Gray - Blue Cabin Associate
Jane is an experienced arts project manager, specialising in participation with young people in challenging circumstances. She is also an Arts Award Trainer and Moderator, and loves seeing children and young people develop their skills and confidence through the arts; she finds it very difficult to get through a celebration event without crying.
Jane is currently loving learning how to sing, and is passionate about the environment. Jane is delighted to be working with Blue Cabin and doing what makes her heart sing.
Eleanor Mooney - Member
Eleanor is an experienced musician, community musician and project manager specialising in vocal delivery, ukulele joy and family learning. She has led the Loud and Clear project at Sage Gateshead since 2009 using the Artist Pedagogue Learning Framework to underpin all activity, working with foster families, adoptive families, young carers, families on the edge of care and more.
Eleanor is committed to using music as a tool for fun, engagement, confidence and enriching relationships and therefore feels very privileged to be working with Blue Cabin.
In her spare time, Eleanor likes to sing (some more) and sew.
Dawn Williams - Member
Dawn is an experienced facilitator and trainer and has a particular interest in Reflective Practice. She has been working for over 30 years in communities in the North East to create innovative arts experiences.
Dawn loves to swim in Lidos and rivers in Northumberland.
She is passionate about the transformative power of creative practice with vulnerable children, young people and their carers. This work is close to her heart - which is why she is delighted to be part of the Blue Cabin team.
Adam Kent - Director
Adam is an experienced senior manager within the arts and cultural sector. He is committed to nurturing creative practice, empowering others and supporting entrepreneurial flair. Adam is currently the Director of Learning and Engagement at The Lowry in Salford and was previously part of the senior management team at Sage Gateshead. In his spare time Adam is passionate about making music with others.
